Birthday!

Yesterday was my 12th birthday, and it was so much fun! I went to a bunch of different places. When I woke up, I came downstairs and saw three presents wrapped in brown paper with brown bows on them (ha-ha!). 30 minutes later, I opened them up. I opened up the smallest one first. Inside it was 300 LEDs! There was 100 red, 100 green, and 100 yellow. Next I opened up the second to biggest. Inside that was a 4 panel breadboard (how-to here) with a bunch of pre-bent wires, rubber mounting feet, and binding posts. Now I can do these 3 projects I have been planning to do! Then I opened up the biggest one. Inside it was a Monster Fighters Lego set! It was the Mad Scientist and his Monster set. After opening up presents, I took a shower and ate one of my favorite breakfasts: vegetarian sausage and biscuits. An hour later we all got in the car and drove to Radio Shack and got a bunch of new parts: resistors, capacitors, an LM317 adjustable voltage regulator, an op amp, and a bunch of little alligator clips to finish Hydrobot. After that we drove to Fajitas to meet and have lunch with my grandparents. We had lunch there and then we all drove to Mary Coyle's and had ice cream. They have one sundae called the Grand Canyon that's $115 and is HUGE! I got the Jolly Green Giant. I ate half of it. My brother was the winner of eating the most ice cream. After we ate our ice cream I opened up the presents that my grandma and grandpa got me. The first one was a Mad Pax backpack! It has all these bumps all over it! It's really cool! The next thing I opened up was a bunch of custom T-shirts my grandma made for me! There was six in all. The first one I opened up was the picture of me with the brick cell phone, and under it said Renaissance Man (oh yeah!). The next one was a yellow shirt that had my favorite Einstein quote on it, "I have no special talents. I am only passionately curious", with E=mc2 on the sleeve in a bunch of different fonts. The next one was Hydrobot's symbol (a lightning bolt in a water drop) over the word Hydrobot. The last three are shirts that say Maker Maximum on the front with an M and my website address in different places. All the shirts are super cool! Next we all drove down to the place where my grandma and grandpa got me the Mad Pax backpack. Grandpa, Dad, and I went next door to this office supply store, called The Stock Room. My grandpa got me some big, red pencils, a new pen for my notebook, #3 pencils, a pocket protector, and these clips for pencils. We also looked at a bunch of other stuff, too, like Sherpa Sharpies (stylish cases for your Sharpie). After that we walked in to the place that everybody else was going to. They had a whole rack of the cool Mad Pax backpacks. They also had a bunch of other cool stuff in there, too, for school lunches (foldable place mats) school supplies, and some other stuff. Then, once we were done in there, my grandma and grandpa had to leave, so we said bye to them and went to the bookstore. I got the 4th book in the N.E.R.D.S. series and a book about Nikola Tesla. After that, we went home.
